Hebei Metals Society and well-known experts in steel industry reviewed Green Production Technology & Applications of High Purity Vanadium Material Project, which was led by HBIS, and the committee reached a conclusion that the project was a world leading technology in this field, after review, defence, query and discussions.
This is a client oriented technology and dedicated to Titanium & Vanadium material development in energy storage, aerospace applications. To overcome major problems in high purity vanadium production, including complex procedures, difficulties in quality control and serious environmental pollution, HBIS creatively develops cascade cation replacement technology, short procedure generation technology of high purity vanadium oxide with low pinch crystal management equipment. HBIS develops vanadium electrolyte generation technology with high purity, high quality and low cost advantages. This technology could be applied in production of vanadium batteries. Already, HBIS commercial vanadium battery technology has been normal operation in a pilot energy storage project. This technology also develops a high performance Vanadium & Aluminium Alloy technology with electro-aluminothermic process and helps to build China’s first Vanadium & Aluminium Alloy pilot project with calcium vanadate reduction technology, producing space grade Vanadium & Aluminium alloy with short processes and low costs.
HBIS has been investing in Titanium & Vanadium industry and launching new R&D institutions. With the existing Chengsteel Titanium & Vanadium R&D Center, establishes the Hebei Provincial Titanium & Vanadium Technology Research Institute, and National Working Stations of Academicians to support the development of new technologies. HBIS has solely develops high purity production technologies with ion replacement equipment and achieved its chemistry grade (99.5%), energy grade (99.9%) vanadium, 100% Vanadium Solution generation with short processes, low costs, high efficiency, clean production characteristics，which is the first in green production of high purity Vanadium production.
